Production Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
Production Maintenance Technician (Nights) - we are seeking qualified individuals with proven maintenance skills. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Efficient maintenance and repair of all extraction, filling, mix-blend, and production equipment.
Conducts preventative maintenance.
Troubleshooting.
Assisting with other projects as assigned reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
Uses available documentation for equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Ensure safety in the workplace by eliminating unsafe conditions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Supports Quality Systems.
Protect Company assets by the direct intervention of any condition resulting in the abuse of equipment or buildings.
Executes the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Other duties, as assigned or required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
Two or more years related experience in a food grade facility.
Ability to understand/apply general mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aseptic processing and high-speed form/fill/seal packaging experience.
Ability to apply concepts such as factions and percentages.
Knowledge of business software, and manufacturing software (HMIs, PLCs, and manufacturing controls).
Self-starter with ability to work in a team-based environment.
Additional Considerations:
Location: This role will be at the SunOpta Plant in Allentown, PA.
Shift: This position will be a night shift role, 5:30 pm to 6:00 am. 2-2-3 rotation. 36 hours one week/48 hours the next week, includes every other weekend. Some flexibility needed.
Pay Rate: Minimum $35.00, pay commensurate with experience.
Night Shift offers a differential.
