About the Role: The Associate Estimator I is responsible for various tasks in developing cost estimates for transmission and substation work. MYRE works on a wide range of projects and EPC contracting services, including large transmissions and substation projects, complete solar facilities, and energy storage.  Essential FunctionsPrepare/assist in preparing complete cost estimates for assigned projects for transmission, distribution and substation projectsUnderstand and monitor program scope of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlinesSchedule and attend field job walk with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirementsPerform/assist in performing take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparationMay solicit material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals including assembly and distribution of project documentation in to RFQ/RFP packagesCompare various project documents for accuracy and consistencyParticipate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holdersAssist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimateMay assist in the preparation and submission of change ordersParticipate in job close-out meetings at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating processRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards About You: QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeExperience with construction drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services preferredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft applicationsExcellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skillsTeam player mentality What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsSalary - Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
