ALPLA values their employees, work-life balance, personal growth, compensation and sustainability. What Can You Expect From ALPLA Health and Wellness Care Program- Benefits Child Care BenefitsDependent Care Cost Savings ProgramRecognition programs; Promotional opportunities401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching PlanMedical, dental, vision planEducation assistance program/tuition reimbursementShort term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLAPaid vacation; paid holidays What You Will Enjoy Doing Main Purpose of the Job:To move finished products from packaging equipment to warehouse and to achieve and maintain company established goals in efficiency, quality and safety by following all procedures.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Start / Stop the palletizer/De-palMakes minor process adjustments to ensure good quality and efficiencyPerforms regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checksPrepares machine for changeoversChanging speed and cycle timesTroubleshootingEnsures goods are produced in current quantity and in accordance with agreed specificationsAccurately records goods purchased and problems encountered during shiftEnsures all product moved to warehouse is properly labeled  Ensures all counts are correct on each pallet moved to the warehouse Ensures accurate inventory counts of finished products  Removal of rejected product to quarantine area  Make sure that lines are stocked with correct and sufficient material  Housekeeping  Working together in a team environmentMaintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within departmentShipping and receivingRequirementsWhat Makes You Great Experience Preferred:High School Diploma or equivalent5 years of experience as ALPLA Machine Operator I or at least 3 years equivalent experienceForklift or “Walk Behind” Forklift experience preferred Qualification/Skills:Capable of lifting 25 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hoursAble to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneouslyHigh cleanliness standards for the machines and work areaBasic computer skillsDemonstrated mechanical abilitySummaryPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
