Quality Control Chemist Lab Technician

The Big Picture Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Perform testing on finished products, in-process, and raw material samples in the chemistry or microbiology labs to provide analytical data to support the manufacturing process and ensure materials meet specification and consumer safety standards.
- Hourly $22.00 Hourly
- Accurately and consistently perform routine testing in the QC laboratory
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration procedures on laboratory equipment
- Prepare and qualify reagents as required
- Analyze and report results via LIMS and communicate test results to appropriate persons
- Position requires the ability to operate on a rotating shift schedule
- Follow all standard operating procedures and testing methods
- Assure lab equipment is kept clean and in good working order
- Comply with cGMP, GLP, FSSC, and ISO 9001 standards
- Maintain accurate records of test results and report them promptly
- Ensure documentation and records are maintained according to plant procedures and the quality system
- Education / Experience
- Minimum High School Degree. Associate of Applied Science Degree preferred in chemistry, microbiology, or related fields of study or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 6 months to 2 years' experience in a testing laboratory or equivalent with experience in a chemistry lab preferred
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and analytical testing procedures preferred
- Good math and analytical skills (ability to perform calculations)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and cGMPs desired
- Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) desired
