2:30PM)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for building a well-trained team which is passionate about safety, quality, efficiency, and company success.Meet or exceed company expectations for production performance to maximize salesKnowledge of SQF, GMP s, SOP s, and HACCP, and other food process sanitation requirements.Report any/all food safety or food quality issues immediately to supervisionPerform related duties as assigned by quality supervisor or other leadershipMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedureAble to lift 50 to 70 lbs. Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required. Conduct audit of production in process and of the finished product to ensure compliance with all product specifications, customer requirements and regulatory regulations.Conduct pre-operational inspection of production area after sanitation to ensure adequate cleaning of production line and production area.Conduct timely audits of production process and finished products as stated in the QA SOP s. Ensure process and finished products are in compliance with all product specifications and regulatory compliance.Verify correct lot numbers are being used at the mixing stations and compare with Plex entries.Responsible for retaining shift samples and evaluating.Collect micro samples of product as requiredConduct equipment calibrations as indicated in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP s) as required when the need arises due to broken or damaged equipment.Effectively communicate any operational issues to production supervision and to QA Supervisor for corrective action.Effectively communicate any food safety and food quality issues or operational issues to the QA Supervisor and/or a member of management to initiate immediate corrections.Review and correction of daily shift documentation from QA and production.Pulling retains for review when necessary due to a customer complaint.Making copies of check sheets and other documents as needed.Ensuring that product is placed on HOLD status in Plex when necessary.Properly utilize labor resources to improve efficiency, minimize labor expense and reduce wasteNotify production lead of any waste issues and/or machine malfunctionsAble to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required.Drive Companygoals & objectives through continuous improvement activities.Other Responsibilities and Skills Needed:Oral CommunicationTeamworkEthicsDependabilityDecision-makingAttention to DetailAbility to delegate, plan, and organize based on production needsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:Must be willing to work weekends when neededBasic Math and computer skillsPhysical and Safety Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-70 lbs.Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP s) and all other food safety requirementsComplies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE s) requirementsReports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisorConstant walking and standing on hard concrete surfacesFrequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbingPosition will require working in very hot and cold conditionsOther conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns
