Join our team as a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder & Educator. You'll review medical records, validate diagnosis codes, conduct provider audits, analyze coding patterns, and provide education and training to ensure accurate reimbursement and improve care quality.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience

How you will make an impact
- Serve as the subject matter expert for proper risk adjustment coding.
- Perform medical record audits for quality assurance and accuracy of ICD-10 code assignment
- Analyze data to detect patterns and develops/implements action plans to address identified concerns
- Develop educational material and provide oversight, guidance, and training to clinicians related to CMS guidelines and HCC best practices.
- Conduct training through the use of web sessions and/or in-person meetings at the provider’s location of employment.
- Use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
- Provide technical assistance to the Claims Billing Office (CBO) staff and respond to inquiries from providers in the field who need coding assistance.
What you will need
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital or physician setting as a medical coder required
- Minimum 3 years hands-on coding experience in the Risk Adjustment environment
- Experience in teaching, training, or another instructor role preferred
