PURPOSEAs an Inventory Control Supervisor at UNFI, you will be responsible for supervising the inventory control functions of all outgoing and incoming products from the warehouse. In this role, you will be directly involved with dry goods, cooler goods, and frozen foods. You will be leading a team to ensure storage and inventory controls are performed accurately as well asretaining and reviewing warehouse documents and reports. A candidate in this position will have strong communication, inventory experience and leadership skills to run an efficient team.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophyDirectly supervises an inventory team and ensures proper trainingPerforms product slotting for optimal picking, while reviewing cube and storage typesConfirms dimensional data is correct for product storageEnsures product dating is accurate and verifiedProcesses store returns and return to vendor orders effectivelyFollows and adheres to all Sox audit compliance processes and proceduresConducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problemsAdministers inventory control proceduresEffectively processes product salvage and donation shipmentsCoordinates and manages daily physical cycle countsRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsWorks closely with Special Projects Manager on inventory related projects such as Product Layout and other duties as assignedLeads warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies and keeps management informed of warehouse activitiesPerforms duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for locationJOB REQUIREMENTSMust be able to work 6:00AM
