Our Manufacturing client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their facility in the Bowling Green KY area. This position will manage the hourly employees and ensure compliance to safety and quality SOPs. This is a night shift role (6:45pm-7am) on a 2/2/3 schedule. They are looking for someone coming out of plastics manufacturing with extrusion experience or at least blow moldingThis job will have the following responsibilities:Follow and support all Company policies (safety, ISO, QMS, GMP, and others as directed)Ensure that quality specs are met consistentlyWrite and conduct employee evaluations and correction actionsMonitor daily attendance, staffing requirements to meet schedules and maintain hours in KronosEnsure that correct paperwork in completed and submittedMaintain good housekeepingConvey policies and procedures with a positive attitudePerform First Responder duties as neededMonitor that line speeds are being met to ensure yields are within an acceptable range Monitor all aspect of production to include; machine status, personnel status, new employee training, training of promoted individualsConduct employee meetings and shift training as needed.Develop and mentor leads for career developmentDirectly manage hourly production workforce to include material handlers.Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelors degree not required but preferred3-5 years of experience as a production supervisorPrevious experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods and tools a plusStrong dedication to safety; Industrial safety training a plusPrevious experience with Troubleshooting processes, 5 Why, 8D or other is a plus. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility is preferredAbility to handle multiple tasks and work in a changing environment with strong problem solving skillsStrong desire to train, coach and develop others to improve performanceMust be able to use the following computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
