Building Location:St Josephs Medical CenterDepartment:13810 Occupational TherapyJob Description:This position provides therapy services to patients of all ages, including evaluation and assessment, treatment, education, and consultation to improve patients’ abilities to their highest possible level. This position provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health management and the referring physician.Education Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patientsTreat patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settingWork with patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, from neuro rehab to ortho rehab, and perform wheelchair assessments and cognition evaluationsWork closely with a team of OTs and PTs in the inpatient setting and OTs in the outpatient settingProvides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesDemonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) and complies with all organization policiesComplies with organization code of conduct an meets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsProvide staff education, participate/lead committee groups, participate in staff onboarding/orientationMay serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient careWeekday and weekend coverage neededEducational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited programLicensure/Certification Qualifications:Certification/Licensure Requirements:Current state licensure as Occupational TherapistFor More Information, contact:Delaney Kennedy, RecruiterEmail: delaney.kennedy@EssentiaHealth.orgPhone: 612-655-7886FTE:0Possible Remote/Hybrid Option:Shift Rotation:Day Rotation (United States of America)Shift Start Time:Shift End Time:Weekends:Holidays:NoCall Obligation:NoUnion:Union Posting Deadline:
