Emergency Medicine opening in Fort Dodge, IA - 1 hour from Des Moines Job Description: - Current providers: 4 Physicians and 5 APPs - Competitive compensation and benefits package- Experienced staff- Onsite services (CT, MRI, x-ray, lab, etc.)- Level 4 Trauma Center- Life Flight 24/7- Cardiac Cath Services 24/7- Hospitalist Program 24/7- Hospital Duties include responding to in-house cardiac/respiratory arrests, including peds and OB/nursery- No Call- Flexible Scheduling- Fully integrated system with clinics and Hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination- New fully equipped Emergency Department Responsibilities: - Twelve 12 hour shifts per month- Clinical Shift Hours = 7:30a 7:30p, 7:30p 7:30a- Department Staffing Model:- Tuesday - Friday = 1 Physician & 1 APP (11:30a - 9:30p)- Saturday - Monday = 1 Physician & 2 APP's (10a - 8p & 2p - 12a)- Average # of patients/day = 60- Annual visit volume = 20,000- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills- Improve the health of the people and communities we serve Qualifications: - Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (must become board certified within 5 years)- Eligible to work in the United States- Hold a current and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa- Ability to work as a team member and leader About the Group: A non-profit 900-member physician group practice serving 2,000,000 patients from 280 locations in Iowa and Illinois. Clinic has a base of primary care physicians in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics. In addition, it offers physician services in subspecialty areas including pulmonology/Critical Care, endocrinology/diabetes, infectious disease, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry and rheumatology.
