An opportunity for career advancement,working as part of an empowering workforce.Shift Schedule:Wednesday-Saturday 5:42pm - 6:12amAbout the Job: Maintenance Technician IIThis opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position. As Maintenance Technician II you will participate in the maintenance and repair of the plant, labs, and equipment along with the building structures, parking lots and outside grounds as required. You will pro-actively maintain equipment and machinery to ensure it is safe and reliable, ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum. The Maintenance Technician II will be able to inspect, repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial machinery along with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for a 14-line food manufacturing facility that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The selected candidate will be responsible for keeping lines running, maintaining the equipment, and improving upon existing processes. Required Qualifications / Levels of Competence. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
An AAS in Industrial Maintenance is highly desired. At least five years
experience in an equivalent maintenance role required. Experience in a food environment a plus. Must have extensive experience and familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must be able to trouble shoot these systems and change components as required to repair inoperative equipment and return them to serviceable condition.
PLC and HVAC knowledge is highly desired. Must be able to MIG weld. Stick, TIG and Oxy Acetylene welding ability is highly desired. Ability to perform Preventative Maintenance such as lubricating, inspecting, and evaluating equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow maintenance employees and members of other departments. Must understand and follow OSHA regulations as they pertain to all aspects of maintenance e.g. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Confined Space, Working at Heights, etc. Must have basic computer skills, be familiar with and able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problem solving in variable, sometimes stressful situations. Must be able to work well with others or independently. Must be able to work occasional overtime, sometimes at short notice. Must be able to work weekends and public holidays as business needs dictate. Must be a motivated, self-starter. Forklift certified is helpful, otherwise must be able to become certified.
