You will provide direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBILE FOR A $2500 SIGN ON BONUS Key Roles and Responsibilities: Patient Care and Monitoring: Perform routine assessments such as measuring vital signs, recording patient histories, and observing symptoms to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patient health.Assisting with Procedures: Support physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures by preparing equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and ensuring proper infection control.Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, including injections and oral drugs, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects, ensuring accurate documentation.Coordination of Care: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, and assist in coordinating follow-up appointments and referrals.Patient Intake and Preparation: Conduct initial patient intake processes, including gathering medical histories, updating personal information, and preparing patients for examination or diagnostic testing.This position will work the following:32 hours/weekNo Weekends8 Hour ShiftsDay Shift: 7:30AM - 5:00PMLicensure/Certification Qualifications:Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months. We invite individuals at all stages of their careers to apply if they hold ANY of the following credentials:Current registration or certification as a Medical AssistantCompletion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts)Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state Employee Benefits at Essentia HealthHealth Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options to ensure employees' well-being.Retirement Savings Plans: 401(k) with employer contributions to support long-term financial security.Professional Development: Opportunities for career growth through training, tuition reimbursement, and educational programs.Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling, paid time off, and personal leave to help employees manage their professional and personal lives.Employee Wellness Programs: Initiatives focused on physical, mental, and emotional health, including fitness memberships, counseling services, and wellness activities.Benefit Eligibility: Employees who work 40 hours per pay period (0.5 FTE) are eligible for most benefits.
