Maintenance Planner

 PET Dairy has an immediate job opening for skilled Maintenance Planner, responsible for the maintenance planning, inventory processes, and providing operations support. This position ensures the continued operation of machinery and equipment in an electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic capacity by coordinating in-house planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, and work order backlog based on production and maintenance requirements.  PET Dairy is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. Our mark matters and it represents the wholesomeness of dairy that we share with our communities and loved ones. It takes an incredible team to deliver the goodness of dairy and enrich our communities – come join us    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday / 7am - 3:30pm  RESPONSIBILITIES:The Plant Maintenance Planner is responsible for maintenance planning activities and providing operations support.Manage preventive and predictive maintenance program to maintain efficient equipment operationPrepare, review, update, and close maintenance work orders (e.g., job plan, labor hours, skill set required, and parts availability) through SAP or established programManage and coordinate work order backlog to establish execution schedules based on production and maintenance requirements and available resources to minimize planned downtime activitiesSchedule and manage daily and weekly maintenance activity schedulesCreate purchase orders to procure parts and production supplies, including price negotiation and purchase processesMaintain inventory of maintenance department parts and production supplies, including inventory control, purchasing approval coordination, and inventory product processMaintain up-to-date library of machine manuals, prints and schematicsManage SAP or applicable system, including set up entities, vendors, and equipmentPrepare maintenance financial, statistical, and technical reports, including equipment history maintenance and open order updatesWork closely with maintenance staff on continuously improving programs by editing tasks and frequencies when approved by managerMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required BENEFITS:401(k) with company contributionCompetitive payPaid vacation and holidaysCareer growth opportunities – we promote from withinComprehensive healthcare benefitsService recognition and employee rewardsEmployee referral programTuition reimbursementUniforms providedWork for dairy farm families
