SUMMARY: Studies pricing to determine the best target prices for the company and applies pricing strategies to optimize sales and profit margins for their company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.Supports activities inclusive of cost estimates, new price generation, and discrepancy resolution.Calculates pricing, gross margins, and estimates for various production models and timings.Coordinates and leads efforts to develop pricing for contracts and LTA’s (Long Term Agreements).Participates in negotiations on contracts and ensures integrity and accuracy of costs as well as related financial information.Analyzes competitors, material, and other costs and market demand to develop pricing models.Researches industries and markets, analyzes customer habits and behaviors, and determines the optimal operations to maximize profits.Tracks business metrics for analysis, price testing, communication with other departments, and helps determine optimal marketing practices.Tracks and monitors manufacturing and distribution costs.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES requires knowledge typically acquired through:Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; or equivalent work experience.Ten or more years of experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to work independently, but communication and collaboration with other departments is important.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, profit margins, and percentages.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Proficient in data analysis, skilled in Microsoft Excel and use of ERP systems. Experience with Contract & Pricing software also desirable.Additionally, the company may require teleconferencing or travel to remote locations.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
