Key Accountabilities
Inspect forklift prior to use. Check general condition and battery charge.
Load pallet dispenser and slip-sheets
Complete pallet count sheet. Ensuring each pallet is logged prior to going in warehouse or on a trailer.
ALWAYS Store all like products together
Stage all packaging material that will be needed for the run
A clean and organized work area is expected to be maintained at all times
Pull product from warehouse or staging area, check orders, load onto trailers per pick/pull sheets
Record Julian codes and amount pulled on pick/pull sheet
Observe and follow FIFO- First In First Out rule
Loading and unloading of pallet trailers and transfer trailers
Check in and sign out drivers, give them the proper paperwork
Help with inbound raw material deliveries when short handed
All trucks must be loaded on a given day, overtime may be required
Ability to stack pallets of finish goods and raw materials
Help with daily, monthly, and yearly inventory counts when needed
Employee must follow and comply with the plants
GMP, Food Safety and Safety Procedure
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements 1-3 years forklift experience HS Diploma or GED
Good verbal and written communication skills Basic math skills, and ability to consistently read and record alphanumeric codes. Computer knowledge: basics skills/usage. SAP experience preferred. Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal Ability to work collaboratively with team members, other employees, and truck drivers. Ability to lift 50 lbs.Work Environment Production areas are noisy; regular use of ear plugs/muffs required. Safety glasses and safety footwear (steel toe, non-slip) required. Hair and beard nets required. Some areas are dusty. Operating forklift including repeatedly getting on and off throughout the shift. Regular walking, standing, bending, and twisting.Compensation Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $18.00 - $23.00
