The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Quality Assurance Manager for a large food manufacture in Colorado The qualified candidate is responsible for emerging, recommending and applying a Plant Quality system to ensure process and product quality consistency with corporate objectives. The QA Manager leads the daily processes of the Technical Services function through guidance to demonstrate company specifications, policies, formulas and regulatory requirements. The candidate will be responsible to guarantee all products meet product quality as well as Safe Quality Food standards.Responsibilities:Grow and uphold plant quality system in compliance with the Corporate Quality PolicyIf the Quality Assurance Manager is absent the first shift QA Supervisor will undertake responsibilities Lead the technical services, sanitation, laboratory functions and food safety of all shiftsMaintain a safe working environmentEnsures compliance to state, federal, and local regulationsAssures efficient and accurate testing, reporting, and monitoring of product safety and qualityDevelop and assist internal audits to determine and assess compliance to company policy and regulatory requirementsMaintain systems for verifying and checking process compliance to provide production departments with tools necessary for daily operationsLead development and implementation of plant GMP, Hygiene and Sanitation programsEnsures effective quality and food safety training for quality assurance and plant staff Directs the Plant Management Team on quality trends within the process and recommends proper corrective actionMakes the annual budget for the QA department Facilitates the development of logical methods and sampling procedures as requiredRequirements:BS degree required5+ years of QA supervisory experience preferredSQF & HACCP certifiedExperience with FDA, USDA regulationsStrong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organizationCreative/analytical problem solving skills and innovative approaches to resolve complex problemsTeam building skills and experienceMicrosoft office skills such as PowerPoint, Project Manager, Excel and WordDemonstrated experience in managing plant sanitation programs \t\t\t \t\t\t
