With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food.SummaryThe purpose of this position is to perform responsible operational, laboratory, maintenance functions and to operate an offal and wastewater systems in support of a poultry processing plant.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain effluent compliance.Maintain operations of offal and proper loading of trailers.Perform assigned Preventive Maintenance.Maintain all paperwork.Repair and maintain all equipment in offal and wastewater area.Perform inspections of the WTS equipment, injection ports, etc.Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.Minimum EducationHigh School or equivalent plus required state license.Must have a valid driver's license.Experience Requirements2 - 4 years experience."D" P/C wastewater license. Able to pass and obtain class "C" P/C license in 2 years.Strong reading, writing and math skills.Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsLongest time in a single interval is 1-2 hours with 10-15 repetitions per minute. Temperature exposure is 40-50 degrees F. and dampness exposure is ambient. Walking/standing surfaces are wet and on metal grating. Chemical exposure includes chlorinated water at less than 50ppm, ammonia vapors at less than 5ppm and dry ice CO2 handling. Noise exposure is 85-89.9dB and light intensity exposure is75-100ft candles. Tools used include scissors, shovel, mechanic hand tools (hammer, pliers, etc.) and hand scoop. Longest interval of time spent walking is 2-4 hours with 10-15 repetitions per minute. Maximum distance traveled is 25-49.9ft. Walking surface is wet and smooth. Longest interval of time spent standing is 1-2 hours with variable mobility. Longest interval of time spent bending is 2-4 hours with 10-15 repetitions per minute. Maximum angle forward is 90-120 degrees, maximum angle backward is 5-10 degrees, and maximum angle side is 20-30 degrees. Longest interval of time spent twisting is 2-4 hours with 10-15 repetitions per minute and maximum angle for forward is 30-60 degrees. Longest interval of time spent lifting is 1-2 hours with 10-15 repetitions per minute. Maximum weight lifted is 20-40 pounds with 10-15 repetitions per minute. Starting position height of lift is 6-7 feet. Final position height of lift is more than 7 feet. Extension reach during lift is 18-24 inches, side distance is 10-20 degrees and backward distance is 5-10 degrees.
