This role includes complete responsibility for managing operational activities in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment rules and laws. The manager ensures optimal efficiency in operations by optimizing all production resources (e.g., people, production line, available spaces, maintenance) to maximize production performance (e.g., production quality, output, net running time, cost efficiency), meeting raw material and product specifications, and improving the competitiveness of production lines, technical equipment, products, and processes.Key Responsibilities:Manage plant operations in a safe, effective, and environmentally responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and guidelines.Optimize and develop local technology and production processes, driving required investments according to approved plans.Establish validation processes for raw materials, new products, and process changes.Improve quality control processes (systems and technology).Collaborate with HR for organizational development in the area of responsibility.Manage cross-functional and global teams supporting Macon.Ensure good run ability of products at the customer end.Support customers by providing suggestions in product applications/trials.Develop new products in collaboration with Sales and Divisional Technical departments.Drive the exchange of the local team with concerned functions.Foster a culture of continuous improvement across production.Develop, analyze, and monitor relevant KPIs and manage deviations.Qualifications/Competencies:5-7 years of prior production management and leadership experience in an industrial production environment.Knowledge:Leadership skills and experience in managing people.Capability to work in a complex and volatile environment.Excellent knowledge of nonwovens technology.Experience in R&D, Technology, and Operations.Project and change management skills.Financial business understanding.Good understanding of HSE requirements and Lean manufacturing principles.Ability to demonstrate and instill the following principles:Values for Customers, Innovation, Leadership, People, Responsibility, Long-term Orientation.Performance Behaviors: Value for Customers, Innovation, Leadership, Drive & Execution, Communication, Management of Change, People & Organizational Development, and Influence.Soft Skills:Strong leadership and people management skills.Constructive and solution-oriented collaboration.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Project management skills.Convincing communication style with a variety of hierarchies, functions, and backgrounds.Working Conditions:Works in a non-temperature controlled environment.Moderate physical activity (lifting, stretching, standing).High activity, multiple deadlines, constant interruptions.Fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
