We have an exciting opportunity with the Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance (RISC) engineering team, to architect and build next-generation engineering systems to quickly and accurately identify and mitigate product compliance/safety issues, and potential risks to the customer experience.As a Software Development Engineer in the Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance (RISC) engineering team, you will be a key member of an engineering team and build the technical vision that ingests large volumes of customer feedback and inventory data, and supports highly advanced, proactive, predictive detection of product safety issues in real-time through robust machine learning models, outlier detection algorithms, and takes necessary enforcement actions to preserve and improve product safety and the end customer/supplier experience. You will be part of a dynamic group of engineers where flexibility, teamwork, and creative thinking are highly valued. We care about your career growth and strive to help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
