EHS SpecialistLocation: Louisville KY (Onsite)Position Type: Direct*Please send qualified resumes to CWright01 judge.comPosition Qualifications:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.In-depth knowledge of Federal and State environmental laws, regulations, and OSHA standards.Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal skills.Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Safety Engineering.At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).Familiarity with US EPA regulations concerning Air, Waste, Wastewater, and Chemicals Management.ISO 14001 Environmental Management System - Internal Auditor certification with a minimum of two years of experience managing ISO 14001 EMS.Specific Duties:Report directly to the Plant Manager.Provide direction, guidance, and technical advice on EHS matters to ensure a safe working environment, in collaboration with Corporate EHS.Maintain up-to-date environmental permits and prepare and submit various environmental reports to relevant agencies, including air emission reports, Risk Management Plan (RMP), SARA Tier II, and Form R.Conduct and update inspections for all environmental programs, including Spill Prevention, Control and Contingency (SPCC) plan, stormwater, air emissions, RMP, hazardous waste, and emergency response.Maintain ISO 14001 EMS and work with the team to ensure the plant remains ISO 14001 certified.Collect, maintain, and provide information to Corporate EHS on environmental compliance and sustainability programs.Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of processes and procedures to ensure OSHA compliance.Establish systems for incident/accident prevention and ensure a robust accident investigation/root cause analysis process to prevent recurrence.Maintain the OSHA 300 log and ensure timely and accurate logging of injuries/illnesses.Assess education and training needs, evaluate EHS programs/processes, and develop necessary EHS training.Ensure timely submission of injured worker information to the Third-Party Administrator (TPA).Interact with the TPA and medical community to understand the status of claims.Collaborate with plant management to ensure an effective return-to-work program.Generate periodic workers' compensation user control reports.Assist the HR department and Plant Manager with additional duties as assigned.Conduct ergonomic reviews and implement HumanTech recommendations.
