DescriptionWe are seeking an IT Director to join our team in Fairfield County, Connecticut. As an IT Director, you will be tasked with the planning, budgeting, analysis, selection, configuration, and installation of new technologies.
Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise junior IT staff, including recruitment and mentoring activities
Collaborate with other departments in setting technology goals
Design or acquire, implement, test and maintain technology measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breach, and other threats
Prepare and submit budget needs for the IT Department
Plan and specify purchases of technology equipment and software for all locations
Manage vendor contracts and relationships
Serve as Project Manager for IT-related projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget creation
Prepare department performance and budget reports
Assess departmental and user training needs and develop appropriate training programs
Maintain accurate and current inventory of all technology equipment, software, and licensing.
Requirements
Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT department.
Extensive knowledge of and experience with security firewalls and cameras.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and their applications.
Experience with Microsoft products such as Office 365, Active Directory, and Exchange.
Proficiency in Backup Technologies for data protection and recovery.
Ability to manage and maintain Computer Hardware.
Experience with Contracts negotiation and management.
Track record of successful IT Deployments.
Experience with Deskside Support and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
Ability to develop and manage an IT team.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Relevant IT certifications would be an advantage.
