Graphics Designer

Six month assignment with the opportunity to be extended. Remote work is acceptable.

Our client Graphics/UX/UI/Web designer on a full-time basis to create modern, elegant, and clean graphics and designs for use on its websites. The contractor will be responsible for working with a team of analysts to study user requirements and create new website mockups and/or graphics for existing websites which meet ADA standards. Contractors will work with a team consisting of client staff, technical and business, at all levels to develop websites that deal with a variety of topics such as housing, green space, and the coronavirus vaccine distribution.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Create clean, modern, and intuitive interfaces using good UI/UX design principles for websites and mobile devices.
  • Work with a variety of data in order to create appealing data visualizations
  • Work collaboratively with existing team members to understand scope of different sites and suggest features and layouts that will enhance the user experience.
  • Seek out creative, design-led solutions to problems
  • Create mock-ups, wireframes, and storyboards where necessary.

Required Qualifications:

The contractor must be able to perform the work of a Graphics/UX/UI Designer by possessing the qualifications listed below:


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a design related field required ? Knowledge of the Adobe suite of tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Knowledge of ADA Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 principles
  • UX and UI design skills
  • Aptitude for devising creative solutions to UI challenges through storyboards, wireframes, or functional prototypes
  • Experience working within a team of web designers and developers who follow a workflow of moving code and designs among development, test, and production environments
  • Possesses experience with responsive website designs, optimized for mobile.
