LPN - Rheumatology Clinic at Norman Regional Health System summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a rheumatology clinic, I provide essential patient care by administering medications, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and documenting nursing activities. I contribute to the development and implementation of care plans while assisting with clinical procedures and training other staff members. My role requires a valid LPN license and previous experience in clinical settings to ensure high standards of patient safety and care.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
  • Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
  • Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
  • Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
  • Documents nursing care and activities.
  • Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
  • Assists with the training of other staff.
  • Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.
Qualifications:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.

Experience

  • Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

 

Licensure/Certification

  • Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.

Compensation/Benefits

  • $17.39-$28.40/hr depending on previous work experience.
