Travel Nurse (RN) Tele/Stepdown (Telemetry/PCU) at Epic Travel Staffing summary:

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse (RN) with experience in Telemetry and Stepdown units for a 13-week assignment in Kentucky. The role requires critical care skills such as IV insertion, EKG interpretation, and management of ventilators among others. Candidates must possess a valid KY RN license and have at least 2 years of acute care experience, with additional certifications in BLS and ACLS preferred.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PCU - 3 South

Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • KY License
  • 2 years of acute care RN experience
  • Diploma or Associate Education
  • Required Skills: • IV insertion • Blood draws • PICC/Central Line management: • Obtain 12 lead EKG • Ventilators *stable trach vents • Nitric Oxide • Trach Care • Feeding tubes • Continuous bladder irrigation • Wound vac
  • RN need to know how to read tele strips
  • RN need to be able to titrate medication
  • Norton work history Docusign Required
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH Certification

Other Details:

  • Patient ratio: 4:1 sometimes 3:1
  • EPIC Charting

  • Common equipment used: pacer box, pacemaker interrogator, bladder scanner, vein finder, tele pack/heart monitor, EKG machine
