Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist at National Beef is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing the hiring process, and providing HR support to facilitate employee relations. This role involves conducting new hire orientations, administering benefits policies, and interacting with unions to resolve employee issues. Candidates should have at least 2 years of HR experience, preferably with a degree in Human Resources or a related field.

Human Resources Generalist responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws regarding hiring practices
- Assisting with the hiring, interviewing, and selection process of potential new hires
- Ensuring timely government compliance in the areas of wage and hour, EEO/AA, and USCIS
- Coordinating maintenance of personnel files
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and assist with the onboarding process
- Resolving issues related to benefits and special incentive programs
- Administering leave of absence policies, including FMLA, STD, and LOA while ensuring compliance with government regulations
- Presenting company benefit programs to new hires
- Providing Human Resources support to the facility
- Manage employee relation issues in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality
- Interacting with the local union to resolve employee issues
- Maintaining a good working relationship with the union representative and ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Investigating and resolving employee complaints
- Employee engagement within an office environment and on the production floor
- Tracking daily attendance
- Issuing disciplinary write-ups
- Executing daily and weekly Human Resource functions and activities
- Serving as the liaison between employees and management
- Assisting with Human Resource applications as needed
- Minimum travel
- Other duties as assigned
This is an on-site position.
Qualified candidates for the Human Resources Generalist position should possess the following:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an HR role
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Labor relations experience preferred
- Basic understanding of employment and labor laws
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong attention to detail
- Payroll experience preferred
- Familiarly with AS 400 preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule to support activities on all shifts
