Niceville, FL, USA | Full Time Job Title: Physical Security Specialist Location: Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site) Canvas provides engineering services and technical solutions for customers in federal and commercial markets. Duties: Advise and assist with the implementing DoD, USAF, DIA, and MAJCOM policies and directives for SCIF and SAPF construction, protection and operation. Prepare accreditation packages, including fixed facility checklists, alarm diagrams, inspectable space determinations, and other essential physical requirements for approval. Conduct initial and annual physical security inspections of SAP facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant security standards. Prepare and update all emergency action plans for SCIFs and SAPFs. Work closely with architects and engineers, and construction teams to integrate security requirements into the design and construction process. Ensure all construction and maintenance activities comply with ICD 705, DoD directives, and other applicable regulations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline. 3 years of relevant experience desired. Security Certifications: Obtain the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) within two years of employment if not already certified. Additional security-related certifications may be required based on program needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated skill in Report Writing. Experience working within a Special Access Program (SAP) environment desired. Familiarity with government regulations, policies, and procedures related to SAP facility requirements desired. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret security data and provide actionable insights desired. Security Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
