POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director in Technology provides strategic leadership, technology vision and subject matter expertise in the management and delivery of Global Digital Workplace technology services and solutions. This role works closely with executive leadership across business units, subsidiaries and Technology teams to implement solutions that align with a global workforce's needs.
This position is responsible for technologies including collaborative technologies, end user devices, printing, software distribution, policy management and enterprise platform management for Teams and M365, as examples. This Executive Director position is responsible for Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivery against KPIs and SLAs, and financial performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop a Global Digital Workplace strategy, roadmap, service delivery model, and deliverables while incorporating best practices and maintaining a secure environment
• Drive execution of the technology strategy to meet the current and future business needs and outcomes of a global organization
• Partner with Business Unit and Technology leadership to identify and establish requirements, strategies and systems to improve end user experiences
• Demonstrate the functional and technical knowledge and expertise of implementing and managing end user computing solutions for a global organization.
• Develop business case(s)
• Develop annual budget, manage actuals against forecast, manage and prioritize demand against approved budget and funding
• Accountable for execution of processes, managing MSP vendor(s), implementing process improvements and year-on-year efficiency, managing key performance indicators (KPI) metrics, and tracking and actively seeking to reduce the unit cost of services and total cost of ownership (TCO)
• See the “big picture” of the organization— the way in which various processes interact across the organization. Understand the key drivers of the organization’s success from mission to customer experience to financial performance and how these relate to each other.
• Be creative in applying technology to solve problems and enabling simplification through the identification of opportunities to standardize systems and investments across programs.
• Bring industry ideas and best practices to solve business problems and improve ETS competitiveness
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Demonstrated success in setting and executing strategy
• Demonstrated success leading geographically distributed teams
• Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills, with the ability to work across a complex organizational structure and diverse stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and trends in the Digital Workplace space
• Strong experience with modern workplace technologies and their implementation, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Expertise in M365 and enterprise mobility solutions
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune
• Knowledge of email services, such as DMARC, SMTP, SES, SNS, email best practices, etc.
• Experience communicating effectively with senior executives to gain understanding and support, while speaking with one voice across the ETS organization
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience is required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT management in a midsize to large scale organization
• 7+ years of digital workplace and/or end user computing experience
• Proven experience in evaluating and implementing ERP solutions for a global organization
• Microsoft experience and/or certifications in Azure Active Directory, InTune and Microsoft global administration
