Role Description:
We are seeking an Environmental Health Safety Coordinator to join our team at Enduro Composites located in Houston, TX. This is a full-time, on-site role. This team member will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities also include:
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
Complete in field "coaching" to assure that all employees are observing, following, and understanding safety programs and the ability to understand and follow regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate and conduct regular safety training programs for employees.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets (SDS).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and promote continuous improvement in safety performance.
Monitor environmental aspects related to manufacturing processes, waste management, and pollution prevention efforts.
Completed all required reporting for air, waste, and water requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant safety and environmental standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Computer skills, MS Office Suite.
Certification such as Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is a plus.
