DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Analyst position will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's data is managed and leveraged effectively, providing decision-makers with the information they need to drive strategic initiatives and make informed decisions in support of operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven problem solver with a strong ability to understand and implement data strategies, collaborate with various departments, understand unique business needs, and transform data from diverse sources into actionable insights.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and maintain data architecture and infrastructure standards while creating and maintaining accurate data models, processes and reporting solutions.
  • Maintain infrastructure and architectural documentation for data management, reference, cross-training, troubleshooting, change management purposes
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by implementing data quality checks and validation processes to ensure trusted and reliable results in support of goal achievement.
  • Develop and maintain standard, optimized processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into a centralized database or data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and gather data from multiple sources.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, providing insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
  • Perform data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, helping the organization make data-driven decisions.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and discrepancies as they arise.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data visualization tools and reports.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in business intelligence and analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data analytics processes and recommend improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating discussions and collaborating with cross-functional teams while translating business requirements into data solutions.

Must be able to translate technical solutions into business language to assure understanding at all levels and across all functions.

Knowledge of data quality best practices and data governance/master data principles.

Familiarity with statistical analysis and predictive modeling is a plus.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 6 years Business Analytics Experience ~OR~
  • Associates Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field with 4 years Business Analytics Experience ~OR~
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field with 2 years Business Analytics Experience.
  • Experience in data gathering, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Experience with Acumatica ERP and Salesforce is a plus.
