Bangor, United States Local Infusion Full time
We are Local Infusion.

Local Infusion is a venture-backed healthcare company shaping the way care is delivered to patients with chronic autoimmune disease on specialty infusion medications. We have locations in New Hampshire and Maine, with more on the way. Our focus on patient experience, technology, and clinical integration allows us to deliver a differentiated care model that leads to lower costs for patients and enhanced outcomes. Through a blend of patient-centered design and a people-first team culture, Local Infusion puts the "local feel" of community, comfort and connection back into the patient and provider experience. At our care centers, all patients-and our team-can feel truly supported, every step of the way.

What We're About

We're a team of innovators, clinicians, and technologists on a mission to improve outcomes for patients, save time for physicians and make infusion therapy more affordable for everyone involved. Our mission is to transform the infusion care industry, because patients deserve better.
  • Ownership-Takes initiative, being accountable and caring about the outcome
  • Excellence-Do what it takes to raise the bar, being an example for our colleagues, patients and partners
  • Curious & Inquisitive- Always seek to gather information and knowledge, and understand the way
  • Find A Way- There will be obstacles, but we find a way, even when there isn't a defined road forward
  • It's a Marathon, not a Sprint - We have large problems to solve, and they won't be solved overnight. We are persistent every day.
Job Overview:

Local Infusion is seeking a skilled and experienced pharmacist to consult during the pharmacy application process. The consulting pharmacist will provide expertise in administrative and credentialing work, review policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. This has the potential to convert to a full time position should both parties agree.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Any necessary administrative and credentialing work for pharmacy licensing and operations: reviewing applications, signing contracts as needed, any fingerprinting needs for licensing, etc
  2. Review, weigh in on, and develop a working knowledge of Local Infsion's policies and procedures and operating systems, to include procedures for proper recordkeeping, training and accreditation programs that are in line with regulatory and accreditation standards
  3. Complete any necessary pharmacy practice or operations work (expected to be low volume in the initial phase.)
  4. We expect the majority of this work to be able to be completed remotely while the pharmacy is in the process of licensing, but there will be instances where onsite presence is necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, a lightweight onsite schedule and the time required to complete any necessary pharmacy inspection(s) or walkthroughs.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed pharmacist with a valid license in the state of Maine.
  • Experience in pharmacy operations, administrative work, and credentialing.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional site visits.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of practice.

Location: Remote but must be located near Bangor, ME (with occasional site visits)

Compensation: $1,000 monthly retainer plus $80 per hour for any hours worked
