DIRECT CLIENT Position

Length: 6 Months +

Location: Washington, DC 20002

Immediate interviews - Webcam interviews ONLY

Please note that this position is HYBRID, 1 to 3 days onsite and rest REMOTE per week.

Most of the candidates are working remotely. Some managers are requesting candidates to meet once or twice a week or as needed.

Client aims to engage an experienced developer with 11+ years of experience to make critical enhancements and updates to a previously created application in QuickBase.

Quickbase Developer (Contractor).

The Developer will develop and implement custom pages using both the QuickBase API as well as regular QuickBase interface.

The project requires someone with substantial front-end development experience (JavaScript and HTML). The major updates to this application include developing a fund source tracking mechanism that provides accounting details on how funding provided to individual schools is budgeted, an enhancement to an approval flow process that has multiple reviewers and approvers, connecting feeds to other QuickBase and PeopleSoft systems, and updating the front-end for principal users to match current trends in HTML formatting, among other items.

The Director of Finance will assign priorities to the contractor on-site and make every attempt to provide advance notice of new assignments. Reasonable time frames for agreed upon tasks will be provided when possible; however, the developer should expect to work in a fast-paced environment and within a compressed timeline due to the demands of the client budget formulation process.

Critical tasks shall be discussed weekly, and the timeline shall be agreed upon by the contractor and the Director of Finance.

Evening and weekend work may be required during the beginning phase of the project (Dec 2022-Feb 2023)

  • A solid understanding of information flow, database fundamentals, and technical requirements listed below are necessary for this position.

  4. 5 years of JavaScript with JQuery

  8. 5 years of Linux
  9. 5 year of Python/Bash/Shell
Other Requirements
  1. The contractor shall meet with the Director of Finance, within one (1) working day after the start of the engagement to obtain an overview of the project priorities.
  2. Access to classified documents, data, studies, reports, and other documentation and information may be required.
