About this Position: 


Lead, support, and execute AF (frame assembly) Department Quality strategies and vision to exceed customer expectations by focusing on QIP (quality in process) to ensure all associates are successful.


Responsibilities include:


    Lead and support problem solving and countermeasure activity through collaboration with internal and external departments to achieve BP (business plan) targets and total CBU (complete body unit) quality
    Lead and support quality control plans by managing change points to mitigate risk associated with SQCDME (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental)
    Participate in the development and maturation of New Model by leading/supporting themes and strategies to achieve mass production quality targets
    Develop technical expertise of self, colleagues and team through training, mentoring and sharing of experiences to improve skill set and team growth
    Develop and execute department systems for quality improvement activities to strengthen and achieve KPI's (key performance indicators)
    Participate in department activities to enhance SQCDME (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental) by promoting engagement for continuous improvement
    Manage non-conforming product evaluation, execution, containment and reporting to prevent outflow to internal and external customers
    Develop and implement OQ (outstanding quality) Flow requirements for model maturation to ensure compliance and quality control
    Manage and update AF (frame assembly) data systems to ensure compliance, traceability, and accuracy of AAP's (Alabama Auto Plant) final product


Required Experience:


    3-5 years in manufacturing environment
    3+ years verifiable people leadership experience


Required Education:


    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant ENG experience


Other job specific skills:  


    Ability to lead projects 
    Ability to establish and achieve schedules, and present project updates
    Ability to work with all levels of production. 
    Basic understanding of fastener torque applications


Additional Position Factors:


    Plant floor, Office, some lifting
    40% office/40% production floor/20% meetings on average
    Infrequent off-shift support
    Overtime as needed
    Opportunity for short-term travel/business trips/training
