Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Job Specialty: RRT-NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. Previous employment separation from any affiliated facility for at least 3 months is necessary for travel position qualification.

License: WA State License required

Certifications:
- Required: BLS, NRP, CRTT
- Preferred: ACLS, PALS, RRT

Must-Have:
- NICU experience
- Ability to float to other campuses
- EPIC skills
- Flexibility and readiness for first-time travelers

Job Description:

- Manage a patient load that includes 5 ventilators and 6-8 RVUs.
- Provide respiratory care to a diverse patient age group including adults, geriatrics, neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents.
- Ensure expertise in ER, PICU, Adult ICU, and NICU settings.
- Required respiratory care experience in airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, bronchoscopes, nebulizers, BIPAP, CPAP, and EKGs.
- Proficiency in managing ventilators such as Draeger and Servo I.
- Open to floating between facilities within a 40-mile radius when needed; personal responsibility for transportation arrangements.
- Completion of non-billable modules averaging 16 hours pre-start and annually.
- Adherence to a standard 40 hours of orientation.

*Note: Ensure all candidates provide a minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting.*

Work Environment: Flexibility to work in various clinical settings including potential float duties across facilities as needed.
