Software Engineer II, AI Automation

As a Software Engineer II at Tanium, you will embark on an exciting new project integrating LLM technology into our reporting platform. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our services achieve top-tier performance, security, and scalability.
What You'll Do:
- Integrate existing products with LLM technologies to enhance user experience
- Utilize vector embeddings to build intuitive data navigation
- Work with server-side technologies, persistent data stores, caches, and messaging systems
- Create automated unit tests, API tests, and integration tests to ensure quality delivery
- Author technical documentation and artifacts for developed software
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- CS Degree or related technical field preferred
- Eligible to obtain the FedRAMP security clearance
- 3-4 years industry experience
- Software development experience in Go (preferred), Node.js, Rust or Java
- Experience with LLMs
- Experience with cloud technologies (i.e., AWS and Azure)
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm Charts, CloudFormation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - being able to learn what the requirements are and being able to apply them
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to writing automated tests as an integral part of the development process
- Knowledge of a variety of modern backend software frameworks and the versatility to learn new tools and languages
