This role is crucial for accurately forecasting project costs, ensuring competitive yet profitable bids, and supporting successful project completions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in construction estimating, with a focus on complex commercial builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including labor, materials, and timelines, to develop precise cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive coverage of all cost factors.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost proposals to internal stakeholders, addressing potential risks and value engineering opportunities.
  • Manage bid process, including document review, addenda, and deadlines, ensuring submissions are timely and meet quality standards.
  • Continuously update cost databases to reflect current pricing trends and industry standards.
  • Support post-bid reviews and participate in negotiations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in construction estimation software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction codes and regulations.
