The Role

RedMane has a full-time opportunity for a Child Welfare Functional Lead as we continue to grow our Chicago based CCWIS practice. You will leverage your Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWIS) or Comprehensive Child Welfare Information Systems (CCWIS) expertise within our product delivery teams, leading the functional design and configuration efforts of our solutions for customers in the public sector.

Our solution is a world-class highly configurable, low code case management solution that incorporates leading-edge technologies. These include cloud-based mobility, data analytics and visualizations, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. As one of our Functional Leads, you will work within our project teams to design solutions within these offerings.

You will work closely with our customers to present and document options, recommendations, and roadmaps to support their long-term planning and strategy.

You will also play a critical role in leading teams of Business Analysts across various project workstreams and lead solutioning conversations with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities of a Functional Lead include:
  • Manage various elements of Project work plans including JAD schedules and travel schedules as required.
  • Assist BA teams with preparation of functional requirements review and JAD sessions.
  • Provide guidance on development of Functional Design Documents.
  • Perform QA review on functional design documents and identify cross functional impacts.
  • Elicit and document business and functional requirements from project stakeholders.
  • Work with Solutions Architects, Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts and Technical Leads to capture business requirements and map requirements to logical and physical data modeling solutions.
  • Identify configurable solutions that are built upon our SaaS case management platform.
  • Provide status reporting, quality assurance monitoring and ensure adherence to procedures and policies.
Skills & Role Requirements
  • We are looking for people with aptitude, intelligence and desire.
  • At least 5 years of Functional Knowledge of all Child Welfare modules such as Intake, Investigation, Assessments, Placements, etc.
  • Experience working with batches, workflows, data services/interfaces.
  • Must have an interest in and willingness to learn diverse technologies.
  • Ability to lead design sessions and workshops with clients to capture functional requirements.
  • Presentation skills and the ability to conduct design sessions with key stakeholders. Must be able to manage these sessions in a cooperative and controlled manner.
  • Direct and succinct verbal and written communication style with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
