Day to day as a Commercial Construction Project Manager
As a Full-Time Commercial Construction Project Manager at Fox Cities Builders, you'll take the helm in developing comprehensive project plans that include timelines, resource allocations, and procurement strategies. Your role will be a whirlwind of excitement as you coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring projects stay on track with schedules and specifications. Evaluating and selecting contractors and subcontractors based on their qualifications and cost-effectiveness will be your forte.
You'll monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, while prioritizing compliance with safety regulations to create a secure working environment. With responsibility for managing construction documentation, conducting meetings, and implementing safety protocols, you'll foster a collaborative project team. Your leadership will shine through as you navigate challenges, review project specs, and oversee contract negotiations, making every day an adventurous journey to build something exceptional

To thrive as a Full-Time Commercial Construction Project Manager at Fox Cities Builders, you'll need a solid foundation of skills and experience A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is essential, along with 3+ years of hands-on experience in construction project management. Your strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations will guide your success. Excellent project management skills will help you expertly plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, while your proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents-like blueprints and schematics-will be invaluable. Great leadership and communication abilities will keep your project teams and stakeholders aligned, and being well-versed in construction management software, project scheduling tools, and cost estimation software will streamline your workflow.
Having experience with contract negotiations and a solid understanding of budgeting will help you navigate the financial aspects of projects, and your ability to stay flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment will ensure you shine in this dynamic role
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organizing and prioritizing tasks.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction schematics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimation software.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations permits and approval processes.
- Experience with construction contract negotiations and claims management.
- Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
