Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and serve as the primary point-of-contact in the development of the DOI Departmental Records Schedule (DRS). Support the Offices and Bureaus within the Department by providing a variety of records management services. Required Skills
  • Defining and documenting records schedules with extensive expertise in the Departmental Records Schedule (DRS) and knowledge of DOI records content such as: land and minerals management, natural and cultural resources, science and technology and Indian trust.
  • Provide expert advice on applying records schedules to existing Federal Records
  • Experience with use of the eMail Enterprise Records and Document Management System (eERDMS), which is an OpenText based electronic records management system
  • Use of M365 native records management capabilities
Job Duties
  • Provide an array of Records Management services in compliance with the Federal Records Act. These activities will include defining and documenting records schedules, applying records schedules to existing Federal Records, organizing and inventorying records, preparing physical records for off-site transfer
  • Present Department Records Schedule (DRS) status at both monthly Departmental Records Officer meetings and weekly OCIO division status meetings.
  • Assist Office of the Secretary (and Departmental) offices in identifying and maintaining Federal Records
 Experience and Education Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in Records Management for federal agency.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Work Location Washington, DC on-site at a Federal Government client. Security Clearance Requirements US citizens only. Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance required.
