The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Compensation Analyst for the Administration Division within the Human Resources Department. Under the direction of the Director of Administration, the position will support the Human Resources management team by developing and maintaining salary structures for union and non-union compensation plans. The Compensation Analyst will coordinate the implementation of collective bargaining agreements, wage increases and retroactive payments. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for updating and maintaining the City\'s Salary Ordinance book, establish pay grades and develop wage and salary schedules, and will perform continual compensation analysis, conduct market analysis, assist in the preparation and planning of market rate adjustments, and make salary recommendations to ensure City salaries are competitive. This position will interpret and report on large quantities of data. Bilingual and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: \ Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Human Resources, Public Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or related discipline. \ Three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining salary structures, and/or other large numerical data sets, OR; an equivalent combination of education, training and five (5) years of experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. \ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Pivot Tables, and XLOOKUP and/or VLOOKUP. \ Excellent communication skills. \ Experience with data visualization and analytical tools. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \ Master\'s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Public Administration, Data Analytics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or related discipline. \ Three (3) years of experience analyzing and interpreting large quantities of data, including financial/statistical. \ Three (3) years of experience in performing data reporting/analytics. \ One (1) year of experience working in a Human Resources office setting. \ One (1) year of experience in business, financial, and/or economics information management. \ Prior experience working with Workday.
