Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for an Assembly Project to be based in Pontiac, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and assembly operations, running small projects, and metrics reporting. They will participate in daily standup meetings to document quality concerns on the line and work with functional stakeholders including Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, upstream Operations and Quality functions, and suppliers for bought-out components to ensure follow-up to closure on issue resolution.
Responsibilities

Troubleshoot process issues and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Develop quality plans and solve quality issues with structured problem solving.

Develop, review, update, and maintain Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA’s), Control Plans, and Quality Check Sheets.

Engage in Lean Manufacturing efforts such as Kaizen events, 5S focus, and Standard Work.

Help develop visual work instructions to drive quality focus and standards.

Verify that all production procedures have been followed and records such as Test Reports and Calibration Data Records have been completed properly.

Create and maintain quality documentation such as quality manuals and quality procedures.

Maintain non-conformance reporting, corrective and preventive action systems, certifications, product specifications, and metrology/calibration systems.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in digital strategy and power bi dashboards.

Experience in running small projects and metrics reporting.

Strong assembly and quality experience.

Troubleshooting and implementing CAPA.

Structured problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Industrial engineering degree or equivalent.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing efforts (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work).

Ability to develop quality plans, FMEA’s, Control Plans, and Quality Check Sheets.

Experience in creating visual work instructions and quality documentation.
Work Environment
The work schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00
