Day to day as An Activities Assistant

As a new Activities Assistant at Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care, you can expect to assist in planning and implementing a variety of engaging activities for our residents. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include setting up and cleaning up activity spaces, encouraging resident participation, and ensuring that all activities are carried out smoothly. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our residents and build meaningful relationships while bringing joy and excitement to their days.

Your creativity and enthusiasm will be key in creating a stimulating and enjoyable atmosphere for all.

What you need to be successful
  • To excel as an Activities Assistant at Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care, you will need to have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills for word processing will be necessary to efficiently organize and document activities.
  • Proficiency in the English language-both spoken and written-is essential for effective communication with residents and team members.
  • Additionally, a compassionate and empathetic nature, creativity, and the ability to work well in a team setting are crucial for success in this role.
