We're looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to design and coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems. You should feel comfortable working closely with the design and construction teams while monitoring/maintaining the scope, schedule, and budget of various projects. You should also have a passion for energy and sustainable design. You will be expected to stay current with new industry practices and technologies, and provide completed, high-quality drawings and specifications to the rest of the engineering team. Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero: Design and coordinate mechanical/plumbing systems including sizing ductwork, piping, and plumbing systems Represent MacDonald-Miller both internally and externally (including working closely with design and construction teams) Complete the HVAC loads and other engineering calculations. Select and schedule mechanical and plumbing equipment Monitor and maintain the scope / schedule / budget of various projects Know and stay current with new technologies / industry practices / coding languages, as well as building standards regarding sustainability Provide completed high quality drawings and specifications The Entry-Level Engineer role reports to Ben Gezon/ Engineering Principal on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business.
