Description The OT I will work at Stein Eye Institute's Division of Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery in Westwood. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist physicians in performing surgical procedures in an ambulatory care setting Clean, prepare, and maintain medical rooms and instruments Conduct preliminary patient interviews and explain medical procedures; provide aesthetic consultations Note patients' medical history, check visual acuity, take photographs, and perform tests Triage patients with emergency ophthalmic problems, walk-in patients and telephone requests Obtain authorizations for procedures, schedule appointments, and process payments Salary Range: $33.02-43.56 Hourly This is part-time temporary position scheduled to end within 12 months of hire date. May convert to Career. Qualifications Required: Must be able to accurately and efficiently perform visual assessments and take visual histories Able to work rapidly and accurately with attention to detail. Ability to be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record. The ability to type 25 wpm and experience with computer data entry is mandatory. Must be able to provide a comfortable caring atmosphere for patients.
