Overview Intrepid Solutions is seeking a SCCM Engineer to join our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA. As a SCCM Engineer supporting the Government, you will be part of a team charged with engineering solutions for software deployment, patch deployment, configuration, IT baselines, importing and testing, etc. within the enterprise. Responsibilities The System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Engineer will have familiarity with existing and emerging technologies to manage and extend SCCM to not only PCs, but also Macs, and Unix / Lunix servers along with cloud-based mobile devices running Windows and iOS, all from a single management console. The SCCM Engineer responsibilities include: Software deployment on servers and clients for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh desktop systems. Automated patch deployment for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh desktop systems. Execution of configuration standardization across the enterprise. Software metering across the enterprise. Delivering IT baselines to remote locations such as DAOs, Forward Operating Bases, and other remote locations with limited network bandwidth. Import and test all patch-related content to disconnected networks within 48 hours of vendor or Desktop Engineering release. Daily duties will include: Utilizing Microsoft SCCM to provide user workstation baseline configuration and administration of operating systems. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions. Writing PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration tasks. Providing guidance and leadership to less experienced systems engineers. Utilizing SCCM to provide security updates, vulnerability patches, hotfixes, and other updates to user workstations and servers. Developing and maintaining baseline images for servers and laptops to add the latest security updates, software versions, hotfixes, patches, etc. OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: The operating hours are Monday - Friday with more detail on anticipated start time(s) discussed during interview process. The work requires 100% onsite support, unless otherwise indicated. TRAVEL: Position does not require travel. Qualifications CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret / SCI and CI Polygraph. TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration. This position is not open for any additional clearance upgrades outside of the CI Poly, to include reactivation, or sponsorship. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma + 12 years of experience Associate's Degree + 10 years of experience Bachelor's Degree + 8 years of experience Master's Degree + 6 years of experience PhD + 4 years of experience CERTIFICATION(S): Microsoft Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) desired. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) desired. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Expert-level facility with SCCM and WSUS. Solid understanding of VMWare vCenter. Functional understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory. Expertise in MDT and SCCM (capturing images (.WIM), creating packages, advertisements, task sequences, operating system deployment (OSD), and queries). Familiarity with DISA STIGs for Windows operating systems. Expertise with IAVA process, including RMF release process, testing, approval, and deployment processes.
