Lab Operations Assistant

Our Mills River radon laboratory, dba as Air Chek, specializes in receiving, analyzing, and reporting on short-term radon test devices. We are growing and looking for a full-time Lab Operations Assistant to join our small, fast-paced team.
This position is temp to perm, working 40 hours/week with a flexible work schedule. Mondays and Saturdays are required, but other work days/hours are negotiable, preferably available for later schedule on projected busy days, for example 10:00am-6:30pm.
Responsibilities:
• Receive and analyze incoming test devices
• Fulfill orders for customers by picking, packing and shipping orders.
• Works as integral part of small team, cross trained on multiple tasks
Requirements
Skills:
• Basic Computer skills needed to enter orders for fulfillment
• Ability to pay close attention to details
• Ability to perform repetitive actions for 8 hour shift
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Work Environment:
This position requires working in a manufacturing/laboratory environment where you may be exposed to dust, loud machinery, and varying temperatures. The role involves hands-on tasks that may result in exposure to dirt or other industrial materials. Appropriate protective equipment will be provided.
Physical Demands:
• Fine motor dexterity required to grab and open individual test kits
• Tasks often performed while standing and moving among stations for full shift
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, reach within arms length, reach overhead, stoop, bend required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with ease
