JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Surg 10 East

Shift Timings: 06:30-19:00 Hours Monday to friday (3 Days/12 Hours Shift)

Per Week: 36 Hours

This department is a 28 unit, serving general surgical adult population and does have telemetry capability.

Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator.

Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS
• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered Oklahoma RN state license
• One year of Cerner FirstNet experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
