Position Description

The Office Manager provides human resources, bookkeeping and general administrative support for BME Strategies. They are an experienced operations professional, assisting firm leadership in improving the systems that enable a growing, high-performing team to focus on supporting  BME Strategies’ clients. The Office Manager is committed to efficiency and quality improvement, as well systems development without adding unnecessary layers or bureaucracy. This is a fully remote, part-time position with flexible scheduling estimated at approximately 20-25 hours weekly.

Duties and Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Supports firm hiring including job posting, applicant tracking, candidate correspondence and screening, coordination of interviews and onboarding plans 
  • Facilitates internal accountability from hiring teams throughout the completion of onboarding
  • Maintains employee documents and compliance within online HR system and State reporting and filing requirements
  • Tracks quarterly tax reporting by outside vendor to ensure compliance; 
  • Files and updates any necessary state registrations for new business or new employees
  • Supports annual benefits selection and open enrollment periods
  • Processes payroll for employees (biweekly) and consultant invoices (monthly)

General Operations

  • Maintains complete client files and supports monthly client invoicing
  • Responds to general web inquiries and routes communications to appropriate staff
  • Supports internal organizational systems such as digital file management and archiving
  • Other functions, as assigned.

Education and Experience

A successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in finance, accounting, or HR/Admin and 3-5 years experience in an operations role with significant exposure to Human Resources functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a standard across BME Strategies. Experience with QuickBooks and spreadsheet software (Sheets, Excel, etc.) is required.
