Job Summary:

The RPG Developer will be responsible for analyzing business processes, modifying application modules, and developing RPG-based solutions on the AS/400 platform. This role requires strong analytical skills, extensive experience with iSeries/AS400, and expertise in RPG and CL programming, with a focus on debugging, testing, and enhancing applications. Candidates must have 10+ years of experience, ensuring they bring senior-level expertise to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes and client requirements, modifying modules as per specifications.

• Develop and test applications in RPG/400, RPGLE, CL/CLLE, and related technologies.

• Debug and test application programs to ensure high-quality output.

• Prepare test plans and effort estimates for new requirements.

• Analyze and resolve bugs in existing systems.

• Submit regular status reports to stakeholders.

• Perform unit testing and create corresponding test cases.

Required Qualifications:

• Over 3+ years of IT experience in application analysis, design, development, debugging, and testing.

• 3+ years of technical expertise in RPG/400, CL/400, RPGIV, RPGILE, SQL/400, and CLLE.

• Strong knowledge of DB2/400 and OS/400.

• Proficient in tools like SEU, SDA, PDM, DBU, DFU, RLU, QUERY/400.

• Extensive experience with the AS400 platform.

• Expertise in programming and developing procedures on AS400.

• Proficient in SQL query writing, understanding database relations, DSPF's, PRTF's, and IFS.

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on debugging techniques and structured problem-solving.

• Experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work on enhancement, maintenance, and production support projects.

• Good working knowledge of client-server architecture and system administration.
