Nosco is looking for a Quality Engineer at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility.

As an employee owner in this position, you will actively support QA and Operations Management in pursuit of strategic goals and objectives that ensure compliance with our Quality System, Operations Goals and Continuous Process Improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer will have responsibility for a specific value stream(s) or plant as assigned and may supervise QA Specialists depending on the organization structure of the plant. The Sr. Quality Engineer title will be based on a minimum of 5-10 years of experience and knowledge. A demonstrated level of performance and goal attainment are also required for advancement. The Sr. Quality Engineer may have QA Specialist or Quality Engineers reporting to them.

In this role, you will…

  • Support the achievement of the annual quality performance metrics established specific to Formal Complaints, Total Complaints and Customer Rejection Cost.
  • Support the achievement of the annual quality performance metrics established specific to Internal Rejections and Internal Rejection Cost.
  • Support the achievement of an average response time of 15 days for all customer complaints.
  • Support the achievement of the established on-time delivery metric of 95% or better.
  • Meet quality system compliance expectations and customer audit scrutiny for all non-conformance records.
  • Support the achievement of a high level of compliance to the following Quality Management System Programs:
    • Training: 95% OTCC with No Audit Observations
    • Calibration: 95% OTCC with No Audit Observations
    • Preventive Maintenance: 95% OTCC with No Audit Observations
    • Supplier Corrective Action Reports: Average Days to Close of 30 day or less
    • Pest Control: No Audit Observations
  • Complete 2-3 measurable process improvement projects annually.
  • Complete and document routine one-to-one engagement sessions with direct reports. Attend daily QA workouts. Attend routine operations leadership meetings.
Success factors…
  • Requires 3-6 years of experience in Quality and Quality Systems with demonstrated success in leadership, team development, business systems and process improvement.
  • S. degree in Business, Engineering (i.e.: Industrial, Chemical), Printing, Technology or related area preferred or extensive industry ASQ certification.
  • ASQ Certification(s) will be expected in the position and can be achieved through development objectives (i.e.: ASQ-CQIA, ASQ-CQT, ASQ-CQE, ASQ-CQA, ASQ-CSSYB, ASQ-CSSGB, ASQ-CSSBB, etc.).
  • Travel to other Nosco manufacturing sites and customer locations required.
  • Must meet the following physical requirements:
    • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to regularly lift 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
    • Work at a computer for extended periods of time and have manual dexterity for computer work.
    • Long periods of concentration.
    • Speaking, hearing and vision are also essential to performing job functions.
