Position Responsibilities:

Patient Engagement and Support
  • Greet patients warmly, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Act as the first point of contact for patient inquiries, providing prompt and accurate information about appointments, services, and general inquiries.
  • Assist patients with paperwork, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks.
  • Educate patients about office procedures, policies, and available resources.
  • Address patient concerns, complaints, and inquiries promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues and escalate them when necessary.
  • Maintains compliance of Patient Access processes and Federal State and Local Laws and regulatory standards (ACHA, HIPPA, Medicare, Medicaid, EMTALA, COBRA, etc.).
Patient Experience Enhancement
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and active listening skills.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate patient satisfaction, implementing strategies to enhance the patient experience.
  • Collect feedback from patients regarding their experience, and utilize it to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and office staff to ensure a seamless patient experience, coordinating care and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement patient education materials and initiatives to promote health literacy and empower patients to actively participate in their healthcare.
Communication and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Document patient interactions, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring comprehensive and detailed records for reference and follow-up.
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with office staff, healthcare providers, and other departments to streamline processes and improve patient care.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing insights and suggestions for enhancing patient relations and office operations.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and open communication.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certification in healthcare administration preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or patient relations role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills; organizational and multitasking abilities; proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems; knowledge of medical terminology; insurance processes, and general healthcare practices; ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations; problem-solving skills.
